At Authentic School Portraits, we capture the real, joyful moments of children’s lives, and we’re always keen to meet playful, reliable people to join the team.

We hire for two casual roles, and our favourite people happily flex between both.

Photographer: stay in your creative flow and capture natural portraits of the kids. We hand you a Canon and train you on our style, so you’ll need some photography experience and a great eye (but not a huge résumé).

Coordinator: the friendly engine of the morning. You’ll liaise warmly with educators, run the shoot list, help identify and prep each child, and keep sessions moving so the photographer can focus on the kids.

The shape of the work:

• Weekday mornings, roughly 9:00 to 11:30am for centres. (most centres break for lunch and naps by midday). 9:00 to 1:30pm for schools.

• 5 to 12 hours a week, rostered month to month

• Photographing at early learning centres and schools across Canberra and Queanbeyan

What you’ll need:

• A genuine love of children and playful, upbeat energy

• A WWVP registration, or a willingness to get one

• A driver’s licence and reliable transport to travel between centres

• We supply the cameras and full training
